A fractional CO2 laser treats the skin in tiny dots and leaves the skin between them untouched. As the dots heal, your skin makes new collagen, so scars, texture and fine lines can look smoother. It is a strong laser, so plan for about a week of downtime.

- Tell us about retinol, acids or acne medicine you use. Some must stop first.
- Tell us if you get cold sores.
After your visit
- Expect redness, swelling and peeling for about a week.
- Keep the skin clean and moist as you are shown.
- Stay out of the sun and use sunscreen every day.
Questions
How much downtime?
Most people are red and peeling for about a week. Pinkness can last several weeks longer.
Is it right for every skin tone?
Not always. Darker skin has a higher risk of dark marks, so we check first and may suggest another option.
